Personality of a revival

Posted in Christianity, Jesus, Religion, church, theology by stevepage on July 1, 2008
Repentance is at the heart of a revival’s personality. It’s the goal and result of any revival. Revivals are God’s tool for bringing the unrepentant to repentance, en masse. Revival, is massive returning or turning to our God, the King of Israel. Repentance will be the overwhelming result that all men will see from a revival. Without mass repentance there has been no revival. From the day of Hezekiah to the 2nd chapter of Acts this was true, it is still true today.

“If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.”(Jeremiah 15)

Oh Lord God, show us how it is that you see me, so I might repent. Let your revival start with me Oh Lord. Let the words from my mouth be worthy of you.

An incredible video describing a revival in a town called Lewis.  Hear about true revival.

Another account of a revival at Asbury College in Kentucky. Watch all 4 parts,  Great stuff.
